Some might say it was a runaway success. Sorry. Anyway. Paramount have confirmed that a sequel to the Sonic The Hedgehog movie is in the works, which will bring the team that worked on the first movie back together again.
The sequel will be directed by Jeff Fowler, with Pat Casey and Josh Miller on script writing duties. It will be produced by Neal H.Moritz, Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara, and executive produced by Hajime Satomi, Haruki Satomi and Tim Miller.
The movie came out just before the real lockdown of cinemas, and thus saw pretty decent success, making it the highest grossing video game movie in America – but it was also released early on-demand for those who missed it on the big screen. Hopefully this time round, there’ll be less drama over character design!
